  • A deeper look into hormone balance, adrenal health, toxin exposure, and metabolic resilience.

What Is the Hormone Metabolites Test?

This advanced hormone test goes far beyond basic bloodwork. Instead of simply measuring hormone levels, it reveals how your body actually uses, converts, detoxifies, and eliminates hormones.

It evaluates estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, cortisol, and all major hormone pathways, giving a complete picture of your metabolic and adrenal function.

It also screens for environmental endocrine disruptors — hidden chemicals that can mimic or block hormones and contribute to symptoms like fatigue, stubborn weight, mood swings, irregular cycles, low libido, and inflammation.

This test is ideal for identifying root causes of hormonal imbalance that aren't visible on standard labs.

    Why Patients Choose This Test

People often pursue this test when they know something feels “off,” but routine hormone bloodwork doesn’t give answers.
    This panel helps uncover:

    • Persistent fatigue or energy crashes

    • Brain fog, mood swings, irritability

    • Trouble sleeping or waking unrefreshed

    • Weight gain despite healthy lifestyle

    • PMS, cycle changes, irregular bleeding

    • Low libido or decreased motivation

    • Stubborn symptoms despite hormone therapy

    • Changes around perimenopause or menopause

    • A history of toxin exposure (plastics, cosmetics, pesticides)

This test helps connect symptoms to their underlying metabolic and hormonal patterns.

    What the Test Reveals

Hormone metabolite testing identifies five key areas that influence your overall hormone balance:

    1. Hormone Metabolism & Clearance

Shows how well you detoxify and clear estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone through liver pathways.

    2. Cortisol Curve & Adrenal Function

Maps your real-time daily cortisol rhythm — essential for stress resilience, energy, mood, and sleep.

    3. Endocrine Disruptors & Environmental Toxins

Screens for hidden toxic burdens (BPA, phthalates, parabens, etc.) that can interfere with hormones.

    4. Bone Health & Oxidative Stress Indicators

Bone turnover and oxidative markers offer early insights into inflammation, aging, and osteoporosis risk.

    5. Neurohormone & Detox Pathways

Shows impairments in COMT and related pathways that influence mood, motivation, and stress tolerance.

    How This Helps You

With a deep understanding of your hormone pathways, you can:

    • Improve energy, mood, and mental clarity

    • Reduce PMS, perimenopause symptoms, and cycle irregularities

    • Support healthy metabolism and weight balance

    • Improve sleep and stress resilience

    • Identify toxin exposures that may be affecting hormones
